District Development Committee meeting demanded to re-examine the action of railways which divided the division centered on Mangaluru. The Mangaluru region is one of the main sources of income of the Palakkad division. By dividing it, the financial security of the division will be destroyed and this action will cause a big setback to the railway development in Kerala. VK Sreekanthan MP, who presented the resolution in the review meeting, said that this will hinder new train services and other development projects to this region. The resolution was unanimously passed by the meeting.
