THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: All cases against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanish Kumar should be investigated, CPM State Secretary M.V. Govindan demanded. In 2006, he was responding to a reporter's query about a case against Ganesh in connection with the construction of a national highway in the state.

Govindan Master clarified that CPM's official position is that there should be a thorough investigation into all the alleged irregularities committed by him, not just the 2006 incident. He alleged that there is a nationwide protest against Gyanish Kumar and that his work is only for a particular political party.

Malappuram rejected the controversial remark

At the same time, CPM leader Nandakumar's statement regarding Malappuram was criticized by M.V. Govindan rejected it completely. He clarified that it is not the position of the party. But he added that the party says that the Muslim League and Jamaat-e-Islami are dealing with communal attitudes in Malappuram.

MV said that Malappuram is a district with a history of fighting fiercely along with the national movement, including during the freedom struggle, and its people and leaders have made great contributions to the country. Govindan reminded.
