Palakkad: The incident where two children were found dead in Vadakarapati yesterday turned out to be murder. Jennifer Juliet (5) and Robin Christopher (3), children of Manarkad John Kumar - Nivedya couple, were found drowned in a cement tub in the bathroom of their house.
The police took Amma Nivedya to the station and interrogated her after the locals and relatives accused her of being mysterious in the incident. During interrogation, they admitted to the police that they killed their children. Nivedya told the police that she committed the murder when her children interfered with her independent life.
Dreams and Disputes
Nivedya had various wishes like studying beauty course and getting ready for modeling. But it is known that her husband John Kumar, who is a total alcoholic, has forbidden them from going to work and so on. The locals say that there was a fight between the husband and wife the day before the children were endangered.
Neighbors are raising complaints that Nivedya doesn't pay proper attention to the children and is always on the phone. At first there was a doubt that a five-year-old girl would drown in such a small cement tank. Then the locals and relatives filed a complaint with the police and during the custodial interrogation by the police, the information about the murder came out.
