Palakad: Former Chittoor MLA and senior Congress leader K. Achuthan passed away.
He was elected to Kerala Legislative Assembly in 1996, 2001, 2006 and 2011 representing Chittoor Constituency and worked as a representative of the constituency for a long time.
K. was notable as a farmer, cooperative worker and political activist. Achuthan served as President of Tathamangalam Service Cooperative Bank and Chairman of Chittoor-Tathamangalam Municipal Corporation.Many political and social leaders have condoled the demise of the senior Congress leader.
