The Palakkad District Panchayat has demanded that the Women and Children’s Hospital in Palakkad be temporarily shifted to the Medical College campus along with all its departments.
District Panchayat President S.B. Raju stated that the move would help resolve the hospital’s current crisis, which is relied upon by ordinary people across the district, home to around 30 lakh residents, for women’s and children’s healthcare.
The District Panchayat has also urged the Health Minister to take urgent action to ensure timely and efficient services for the public.
