Teacher goes missing leaving behind her husband and two children; found in a rented house in Palakkad after a ten-day search.
A wife whom the husband brought back to life by donating half his liver... What happened in that family a decade later?
Some life stories fill the heart when we hear them. Others leave behind a multitude of questions. The life story of K. Anumol, a teacher who went missing from Thottilpalam in Kozhikode, is one such tale.
About ten years ago... when a severe liver disease threatened Anumol's life, her husband Subhash became the final ray of hope. By sharing a part of his own liver, he gave his wife a second lease of life. For a financially struggling family, even the locals joined hands to raise funds for the surgery. Back then, that love and survival made major headlines.
Having triumphed over illness, Anumol later cleared the PSC examination and became a government school teacher. Two children were also born into their family life.
However, what went wrong in that life thereafter?
Anumol, who left for school on the 5th of this month, went missing subsequently. Her phone was switched off. The family approached the police. As days passed without any information, they even had to approach the High Court.
Following a ten-day-long search, the police traced Anumol and Abdul Samad, a native of Vadakara Thodannur, from a rented house in Puthussery, Palakkad. Police stated that the two had been living together.
Investigation revealed that they had moved around while abandoning their phones, using various SIM cards, and regulating their travel and communication. Ultimately, it was the investigation focusing on Samad's phone calls that led the police to the duo.
The circumstances behind Anumol's disappearance are yet to be fully clarified. Information is also emerging that there were previous complaints against Samad. Suspicions regarding money from Anumol's family have also been raised. However, these are matters that need to be verified through the investigation.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that her husband Subhash has expressed his willingness to accept his wife back.
A husband who once saved his wife's life by giving a portion of his own liver... today, another trial stands before that family. The family is now forced to move forward with the future of two children and a flood of memories and questions.
Yet, we cannot rush to judge who is right and who is wrong in this story.
One cannot fully understand from the outside what transpired within a relationship. Anumol's side must be heard. The facts of the investigation must come to light. Allegations must be examined through evidence.
Because, beyond the headline of a news story, this is the life of a family. It is the future of two children. It is a massive transformation that occurred in the lives of people who once stood together through adversity.
From a tale of love where a liver was shared, to the questions arising a decade later... We must now wait for the true picture of this incident to unfold.
