Agni conquered the track at the age of one and a half; Ran 50 meters in 32 seconds
Palakad: From a family that has given achievements to the country in the field of sports, Kochumitukki Agni stands out with a rare achievement. Agni, daughter of Anilkumar and Jijimol, natives of Kanchikode Attapallam, achieved the record by running 50 meters in 32 seconds at the age of one year and eight months.
The parents decided to test this talent on the track when they noticed that Agni was driving everything from the time he started walking. Completed 50 meters in 32 seconds on the synthetic track of Palakkad Medical College on July 2.
India Book of Records (IBR) awarded Agni with an achiever certificate and medal after the footage was verified. Agni also holds the ‘wonderkid runner’ achievement of the Kerala Book of Records.
Agni's mother's sister-in-law Vishnupriya has competed in the hurdles event for India at the Youth Olympics in Argentina. Following his family's sporting legacy, Agni has also achieved remarkable feats at an early age.
