Malampuzha Dam and Gardens: The greenery and tourist attractions of Palakkad

Located in the foothills of the Western Ghats ‌about 10 km from Palakkad city, Malampuzha is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Kerala.

1. Malampuzha Dam: Lifeline of Bharathapuzha

Completed in 1955 across Malampuzhayar, a major tributary of the Bharathapuzha, this dam is the backbone of Palakkad's agricultural prosperity and drinking water supply. The dam is 1,849 meters long and offers a beautiful view against the backdrop of the mountains.
