Palakkad: Minister of Health Department K severely criticized Union Minister Suresh Gopi on the issue of granting AIIMS to Kerala. Muralidharan. Speaking to the media in Palakkad, he alleged that Suresh Gopi is deliberately trying not to bring AIIMS to Kerala.

Government will welcome AIIMS wherever it is sanctioned in Kerala. The minister clarified that the High Court's stand questioning the central government's stand that there is currently no decision to allow AIIMS in the state is the general sentiment of Kerala. He added that he would send a detailed letter to the central government after closely monitoring the court proceedings.

Pariaram Medical College Controversy

The minister said that he has not changed the doctors of Pariyaram Medical College after taking charge and is only creating unnecessary controversies. At first there was a complaint that there was no medicine in the government hospitals. When that problem was solved, there was no cure. Now the campaign is going on that there are no employees. He clarified that behind these controversies are some drug companies and some officials and their tactics are not worth the government. The minister informed that all the problems related to the hospitals are being resolved in a phased manner and the questions related to this will be answered during the discussion of the urgent motion in the assembly.

Political Criticism

He opined that the protest against the Chief Election Commissioner in Delhi is a popular movement and a strong protest against the addition of fake voters. The Minister also mocked Union Minister Suresh Gopi's political stance. K. said that in the assembly elections BJP was third in all the assembly constituencies under Suresh Gopi's Lok Sabha constituency and that is why he said that he will not go to Thrissur again to ask for votes.
