Palakkad: A native of Tamil Nadu came to the Palakkad district police chief's office claiming that he had received an Onam bumper gift worth thirty crores. Sadiq, a native of Sathyamangalam, Erode, came with the complaint. But instead of going straight to the bank or treasury with the ticket and exchanging the money, he reached the police station because the ticket was nowhere to be found.

Sadiq, who works as a driver, took the Onam bumper lottery near the railway station when he reached Palakkad. On the next day, he gets to know the first prize on the basis of the lottery number he drew. Then the daughter took the picture of the ticket and informed her grandfather through WhatsApp. But after that, Sadiq complained that the original ticket was missing.
Police position and arguments of the complainant
Sadiq is not clear whether the ticket was lost from his daughter's hand or from his hand. He stated that the original ticket was his and that he had come to Palakkad because the lottery was banned in Tamil Nadu and he could not file a case there. He came with his friends and family to complain.
But the police did not take Sadiq's claims at face value. During the preliminary inspection, the officials concluded that the image of the ticket produced by him was not genuine and was fake. The police are still investigating this incident of demanding 30 crores by showing only the photo on the mobile phone.
